There are many different sources of anti-Christian persecution. Violent extremism is gaining ground within several of the world’s major religions. Militant communism remains a potent force in some countries, and zealous nationalism is destabilising various others. These forces often see Christian communities as their enemy, and turn their anger upon them, with very destructive results.
For this year’s Suffering Church Sunday we focus on the Christians of South Asia and the pressures and persecutions that they face.
