Feeding programme in Niger

How we decide

The project must normally assist the Church where Christians are a minority and face discrimination, injustice, violence or other persecution. The Church could mean a Christian community, an individual Christian or Christian family, or the mission of the Church in making known the Gospel.

Priority is given to:

Projects which are small-scale
Projects where a small sum can make a substantial difference
Projects which train Christian leadership
Projects which have no other outside financial help
Projects with good accountability structures

Projects must be supported or administered by a reputable local Christian organisation or Church structure. Funds are not given direct to individuals in need.

There is careful monitoring of all projects supported to ensure gifts from Barnabas Fund are used according to the stated need for which they were given.
