Every year Barnabas Fund supports the provision of thousands of Bibles, New Testaments and other Christian materials for Christian minorities in situations of persecution or discrimination across the world. In some cases the project also supports the translation, perhaps providing the Scriptures for the first time in a local language.

In recent years Scriptures and Christian materials have been provided in Arabic, Urdu, Kabyle, Karachai, Chechen, Ossetian, Tamil, Sinhalese, Gagauz, Telugu, Farsi, Kyrgiz, Kazakh. Tajik, Bulgar, Uzbek as well as French and English. Other materials supported include hymn books, Sunday school materials, discipleship courses and Christian books and children’s Christian magazines. On average it costs about £1.75 to provide a complete Bible and £1.00 to provide a New Testament.
